Scope of application:

The main use of acetonitrile is as a solvent. A solvent used in the petroleum industry to remove substances such as tar and phenols from petroleum hydrocarbons. Used as a solvent for extracting fatty acids from vegetable oils in the oil and fat industry, and as a reaction medium for the recrystallization of steroid drugs in medicine. Acetonitrile is an intermediate in medicine (vitamin B1) and spices, and is a raw material for manufacturing triazine nitrogen fertilizer synergists. It is also used as a denaturant for alcohol.
